This pieced puzzle block of the month is written especially for shopowners.  It consists of 12 individual blocks of varying dimensions with two setting solutions.  Each month has a block that is pieced using monochromatic colors.  The pieced block's name coincides with the month itself (January = Snowball, October = Buzzard's Roost).  Each month also has an applique design that coincides with the month itself (March = a Leprechaun, July = a Firecracker).  The puzzle affect is actually a setting solution.  To do this, your block of the month participants will need to buy an additional fat quarter of each block's main background color.  The second setting solution is a simple sashing.  Instructions for both are included in the pattern.  For each month we also have provided the "Shopowner Cutting Instructions" .  We have included a sample of the color we used and the dimensions for each piece of fabric to put in the monthly kit.  The instructions to assemble each block may be duplicated as many times as necessary for your Block of the Month participants.
